The student learns new vocabulary by matching it with definitions (update, sophisticated, personal data, etc.). Then, they watch the video The real cost of smart speakers that explains the pros and cons of smart speakers. The student decides if the statements based on the video are true or false and corrects the mistakes in the false statements. This is followed by a discussion based on the video.
Vocabulary: Functions of smart speakers
The student labels the functions of the smart speaker shown in the photo (security lock, temperature control, sprinkler, etc.).
Grammar: Indirect questions
The student learns what indirect questions are and how they are formed. Then, they practice transforming direct questions into indirect ones.
