Video:
Students watch a video titled “Palantir CEO Alex Karp says ‘something has gone completely wrong’ with how AI is sold.” After watching the video, they answer a few questions.
Exercises:
In the first part of this section of the lesson introduces new vocabulary. Next, they match idioms to their definitions and match expressions with their meanings. In the third exercise, they unjumble sentences. Finally, they complete a word family.
Speaking:
Learners pick a card and explain how they would handle each situation. Next, they reveal adverbs which they will use to describe a graph. Finally, they guess a word by revealing hints.
Discussion:
The students read a few AI related comments, view an AI hype cycle graph and discuss what they think will happen next using a word cloud.
