Solving Problems at Work

In this C1 ESL lesson, students practice idioms and vocabulary for solving problems at work.

Warm-up:

Students answer a few questions about the topic of the lesson.

Video:

Students watch a video titled “5 Steps to Fix Any Problem at Work.” After watching the video, they choose which topics were mentioned in the video.

Exercises:

The students match idioms with their meanings. After that, they choose the words that best complete a set of sentences. In the third exercise, the learners find mistakes in sentences and correct them. In the last section, the students pick responses that are more diplomatic.

Reading:

Learners read a short text and answer questions about it.

Discussion:

The students role-play a few scenarios with their teacher.
