Augmented Reality vs. Virtual Reality

The main goals of this ESL lesson plan are to:

• – build technology vocabulary related to Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality through word guessing games and reading about innovative product launches;
• – master the Future Perfect tense through structured grammar instruction and sentence completion exercises that focus on accurate usage and formation;
• – enhance conversational and critical thinking abilities by watching educational videos about VR/AR technologies, expressing personal views on new technology articles, and engaging in discussions about famous quotes and their interpretations.

This Upper Intermediate lesson plan focuses on expanding vocabulary related to Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), as well as practicing the Future Perfect tense.

Warm-Up

We kick off with an engaging game where students guess words from clues given.

Video

We will watch a video titled “Understanding Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.” After watching it, we will explore its main points through a mix of open-ended and closed-ended questions to improve and develop conversational skills.

Grammar 

In this section, we introduce the Future Perfect tense, focusing on its structure and usage.

Exercises

Students participate in an exercise requiring them to complete sentences using the Future Perfect tense accurately.
