The main goals of this ESL lesson plan are to:

In this Advanced lesson plan, students will practice vocabulary related to physics and technology. They will also improve their understanding of prepositional verbs.

Warm-up 

Students will be asked to fill the gaps in a text with the missing words.

Video 

Students will view a video titled “How quantum technology could change the world.” After watching the video, they will fill the gaps in sentences with the missing words.

Grammar

In this section, a short introduction to prepositional verbs is given. Common examples of use ease the learning process.

Exercises 

Students are tasked with completing sentences with prepositional verbs.

In the second exercise, the students will learn new vocabulary by matching terms with their definitions. 

Reading 

In this part, students will read a short text about quantum mechanics. After that, they will answer questions.

Discussion 

The lesson concludes with a discussion around a famous quote.
