Warm-up

Video 

Students watch an informative video titled “How Sesame Street Is Made.” After viewing, they complete a matching exercise connecting sentence beginnings with appropriate endings based on the video content.

 

Exercises 

Language skills are reinforced through various activities. Students complete second sentences so that they have similar meaning to the original sentence, using the word in brackets. In the second exercise, they use words in the boxes to complete a set of collocations. Lastly, they examine a list of expressions and explain their underlying meanings.

 

Writing

Students create two dialogues between a TV producer and a Sesame Street writer discussing innovative approaches to children’s education.

 

Reading 

Students read a text about Sesame Street and answer questions about the text to test reading comprehension.

 

Discussion 

Students discuss techniques that make Sesame Street effective in teaching children.
