Person vs. Persons vs. People vs. Peoples

The main goals of this ESL lesson plan are to:

• – Master the differences between “person,” “persons,” “people,” and “peoples” through video explanations and definition matching activities in this A2 English lesson.
• – Build comprehension and vocabulary skills by watching educational videos about these commonly confused nouns and reviewing their correct meanings.
• – Improve speaking and accuracy through gap-fill exercises, mistake correction practice, and wrap-up questions that reinforce proper usage of these four words.

In this A2 English lesson, the student will lear the differences between person and persons, people and peoples, as well as practice the usage of these words in speech.

Warm up

The student decides which of the sentences sound correct.

Video: Person vs. Persons vs. People vs. Peoples

The student watches a video explaining the differences in meanings of person vs. persons vs. people vs. peoples. Then, they review what they learned by matching each of the four words with their definitions.

They practice using the four nouns by filling in the gaps with the correct one. They also practice correcting mistakes.

Review

The student reviews the lesson by answering wrap-up questions about person vs. persons vs. people vs. peoples.
