
The main goals of this ESL lesson plan are to:

- – watch a video about work-life balance,
- – engage in interactive B1 level exercises.
In this intermediate lesson plan, students will focus on work-life balance through a variety of engaging exercises including matching activities, word formation, and discussion prompts.
Warm-up:
Students read a number of work-life balance scenarios and choose the correct word to complete the scenarios.
Video:
Students watch a video “3 rules for better work-life balance.” After watching, learners answer a number of questions based on video content.
Exercises:
In the first exercise, learners connect the work–life balance phrases to their meanings. In the second exercise, students fill in gaps in sentences with the correct form of the words in brackets. In the following exercise, students match sentences or questions to their correct responses. Later, learners turn sentences into questions. Finally, the students use provided phrases to reply to messages.
Discussion:
Learners choose one quote that resonates with them. They are asked to explain why they chose it and whether they agree or disagree with it.
