The main goals of this ESL lesson plan are to:

• – broaden vocabulary related to being successful in one’s career;

• – learn and practice five uses of “get”;

• – watch a video about “Accenture CEO’s Advice to Women: Stand Out” and answer comprehension questions.

In this Intermediate ESL lesson plan, the goal is to broaden students’ vocabulary on the theme of being successful in one’s career. The lesson also introduces and practices five uses of “get.”

Warm-up
The lesson starts with an exercise where students organize words to create sentences. 

Video
Students will watch a video named “Accenture CEO’s Advice To Women: Stand Out.” Post-viewing, they will fill gaps in sentences to check for comprehension.

Grammar
Focus here is introducing five uses of “get.” Examples are given to aid understanding.

Exercises
In this part of the lesson, students will transform active sentences using “get.” They will also complete words with the missing letters to create business phrases. 

Reading
Students will read a short text about successful women in business, followed by a Q&A session.

Discussion
To wrap up, students will discuss a quote.
