In this Intermediate ESL lesson plan, students will discuss generational differences by focusing on Baby Boomers and their impact on American society. Warm-up
The lesson starts with an exercise where students pick words related to baby boomers.

Video
Students will watch a video titled “Fast Facts About Baby Boomers.” After viewing, students identify which facts about baby boomers were mentioned.

Exercises
In this part of the lesson, students will practice intensifiers and mitigators by placing adverbs in the correct order. In the second exercise, they will fill in the gaps in sentences using the correct forms of adjectives in brackets. Finally the students will match the vocabulary items with the definitions.

Reading
Students will read a short text about baby boomers, followed by a Q&A session.

Discussion
To wrap up, students will discuss a few thought provoking questions.
