Warm-up:
Students answer a few questions about the topic of the lesson.
Video:
Students watch a video titled “The Chemistry of Love.” After watching the video, they answer a few questions.
Exercises:
The students match words and phrases with their definitions. After that, they match physical signs of attraction to what they mean. In the third exercise, they rewrite sentences using words in capitals. In the fourth exercise, the learners sort idioms about love into correct categories. In the next part, they rewrite sentences using provided idioms. Following that, the students sort expressions by how strongly they commit to a claim. Finally, they play a game of pick a card.
Discussion:
The students explain why scientists say romantic love resembles an addiction. At the end of the lesson, they discuss a number of quotes.
