Speaking Activities:

Students rank a list of interventions for food addiction from most effective to least effective and justify their choices. They then talk about their approach to food addiction by choosing preferred options for combating this problem from a provided list. Next, learners match stakeholders to their likely position on food addiction, then discuss whether they agree. Students also place certain behaviors on an addiction spectrum. Finally, they label statements as myths of facts.

 

Discussion:

The lesson concludes with students debating the potential need to label certain foods as addictive.
