Is Dating Too Expensive?

Warm-up:

Students reveal the hints to guess the word behind the associations. 

Reading:

Learners read a short text and answer a few questions.

Video:

Students watch a video titled “Gen Z says finding love is too expensive.” After watching the video, they answer a few questions.

Exercises:

It begins with students learning key terms used in the language of modern dating. After that, they familiarize themselves with a few useful idioms. Learners match the idioms to their definitions. In the next exercise, the students match the words with their meanings. The learners unjumble sentences. Finally, they complete a word family.

Speaking:

The students pick a card and describe to their teacher how they would handle a specific situation. Next, the learners reveal hints and guess the final word behind them.

Discussion:

The students read a few key voices on the topic of modern dating. After that, they discuss whether dating is too expensive using the word cloud.
