How to win the lottery

The main goals of this ESL lesson plan are to:

Exercises 

Students will learn new vocabulary by matching terms with their definitions.

In the second exercise, students will choose words that best fit sentences about lotteries.

Reading 

In this part, the students will read a short text about why people play lotteries. After that, they will answer questions about the text.

Discussion 

The lesson concludes with filling in blanks with missing verbs to form a text about lotteries. The students are asked to share their opinions about the text.
