In this Intermediate ESL lesson students will improve English skills using Generation Z as a theme. They’ll learn new vocabulary, practice listening and speaking, read about Gen Z, and discuss Gen Z’s impact on culture.
Warm-Up
Students will look at a Gen Z graphic and answer questions.
Video
Students will watch a short video titled “How Generation Z Will Change The World According To Experts.” After watching, students will answer questions to check for comprehension.
Exercises
Students will engage in a series of language activities to reinforce their understanding of Gen Z-related vocabulary and concepts. They will start by completing sentences using provided words in a gap-filling exercise. Next, they’ll practice word replacement, substituting words in sentences using a given list of alternatives. The third activity involves matching words with their antonyms to expand vocabulary. Students will then adapt a short text by replacing highlighted words with options from a list. Following this, they’ll select the correct form of words to fit the context of sentences. Finally, students will identify and correct mistakes in sentences about generational differences, honing their grammar and comprehension skills.
