Expensive bags

The main goals of this ESL lesson plan are to:

Warm-up 

The lesson begins with students sharing with the teacher how they define luxury.

Video 

Students will view a video titled “The Birkin Bag’s Iconic History And Why It’s So Expensive.” After watching the video, they will answer questions to check for comprehension.

Exercises 

Students will learn new vocabulary by matching terms with their definitions. 

In the second exercise, students will be asked to choose which word completes the sentence correctly.

Reading 

In this part, students will read a short text about the luxury goods market. After that, they will answer questions about the text.

Discussion 

The lesson concludes with a discussion around a famous quote.
