The main goals of this ESL lesson are:

This upper-intermediate lesson plan looks into the dos and don’ts of business language through a variety of exercises: vocabulary practice, reading comprehension and discussion practice.
Warm-up
To kick things off students look at a hypothetical business situation and share what they would do if faced with such a scenario.
Video
The students watch a video “Where Did Cringey Corporate Jargon Come From?” and complete a quiz based on what they watched.
Exercises
Using provided phrases learners create responses to posed questions. Next, they complete expressions using a word bank.
Reading
Students read a text about corporate jargon and answer questions to the text.
Discussion
Students rearrange letters to form questions, and answer them.
