The main objectives of this ESL lesson plan are to:

• – watch a video about why being scared can be fun and entertaining.

In this B2 level lesson plan, students explore the psychological and social reasons why people enjoy fear-based entertainment through a variety of exercises including matching activities, sentence completion, advanced grammar restructuring, and reading comprehension.

Warm-up 

Students start by looking at two real-life scenarios and discussing why people enjoy being scared. This gets them thinking about the topic while practicing their speaking skills and building confidence in expressing opinions in English.

Video 

Students watch an informative video titled “Why is being scared so fun?” After viewing, they complete a matching exercise connecting sentence beginnings with appropriate endings based on the video content.

Exercises
