Reading:
Learners read a short text and then explain, in their own words, why a food that people love in one country can surprise visitors from another.
Exercises:
The students match words and phrases with their definitions. After that, they choose the words that best complete a set of sentences. In the last section, the learners practice giving balanced views using concession and hedging.
Discussion:
The students discuss a number of questions about the topic of the lesson. In the second part, they practice recommending a dish from their country to someone who has never tried it. Finally, the students discuss a few famous sayings about food.
